HopeMatch, located in Charlotte North Carolina, provides holiday assistance to the working poor, underemployed and otherwise forgotten families, who are struggling especially during this economic climate. HopeMatch gives hope in the form of Christmas gifts and words of encouragement by meeting material needs through private donations and sponsorships.

The goal of HopeMatch is to show God’s love to people who are going through a tough time in life. HopeMatch allows the community to have a “hands on” approach to helping their fellow neighbor, co-worker, or maybe someone they have never met, cope with the uncertainties of life.

One unique quality of this organization is that there are no income limits or qualifications you have to meet. The only rule is that a family or individual must be referred by someone outside of their family who knows of their situation. A family in need cannot refer themselves. The Board of Directors will discern who is able to be helped each year.

HopeMatch is not a one-time help for the families and individuals it serves, but seeks to be a connecting point where they can come back throughout the rest of the year for encouragement, prayer, and a place to share the good things that have happened as they make it through their struggles.

In 2012, we are expanding our follow up program to include "Adopt a Family," an opportunity for individual volunteers to make a relational commitment to one of our families that were helped at Christmas. We will have special service projects throughout the year where volunteers can participate to help our families in a tangible way.

• Provide monthly newsletters to our supporters
• Implement "Adopt a Family" program to provide an individualized approach to following up with families
• Continue to provide ministry support to the families that are helped through HopeMatch
• Continue to help a diverse population of people
• Help at least 80 families through our Christmas program
